July 🎆

The time has come when I try my best to describe to you how July has been to me in comparison to June. July was filled with fireworks, shooting on 16mm, business adventures, and, let’s not forget, the most important part of this puzzle: film. Here’s what went down.

Saw Superman, wanted to catch up on my comic books, been reading Ultimate Spiderman too, I’m all caught up, oh fuck I gotta get the new issue it came out yesterday. 

Thought this book was interesting to read. I recommend it, loved how honest the writing was, and it didn’t sugarcoat anything. Just unfuck the boundaries, my friends.

Rewriting a screenplay has been a challenge; luckily, after some research, I stumbled upon this incredible book. So far, everyone thinks I’m doing homework every time I pull this book out, and with the amount of exercises in it at this point, I mean it is. But in the end, if it makes my writing feel as good as the raps on Clipse's new album, then…

I finally shot on film, and this is a long time coming; it was something I had on the bucket list, and to finally do it, it feels great … and expensive asf. Working on something closely with Luna from Glasshouse with this, and well, I have to start editing starting maybe tomorrow as the month ends, but who knows. I’m hoping to screen it for the city of Salisbury, so be on the lookout for that, and well, this is going to be quite the emotional film.

The awards ceremony and our film dancing will be screening at the RISD Auditorium on August 7th! I will be there! Come through! Celebrate with us!
