May this bring you flowers šŸ’

better late than never

May

I told someone I haven’t been as consistent as I am with this, but then I realized last time I did this was at the top of April, so my once-a-month thing is working like a beautiful charm. I’ve been good. It’s not been easy to wrap my head around saying words these days. It’s been a journey this month. I have a lot going on. Been working with Glasshouse, working on documentation for Elevated Thought and some projects here and there. Dos Golpes has been picture locked!! So many things are going on, screenings and adventures.

Please enjoy everything I begin to share and all the new things I’ve done so far. Hope you’ve been well, and I’ll see you next month <3

I cut my hair, I could feel the wind. A friend of mine, Adriel, sent me a throwback pic, which prompted me to cut it all off. This one is for the ones that told me never to cut it, and for my mom, who, btw, hasn’t stopped smiling since I chopped.

Picture that made me cut my hair.

NEWS
El Taller says goodbye after more than a decade in Lawrence

Shout out to Magdiela Matta for coming in and interviewing us on this. Thank you for telling this story.

A few months ago, I planned a music video with Glasshouse about El Taller. The idea was simply having them roam around the city and then eventually landing at El Taller to grab some food after a long studio session. With El Taller’s closure, I wanted to make something that we can all look back to and appreciate the work, the love, and the community that was created in that space.

I want to take the time to thank The Guerrero family for everything they’ve done for the community. I found my love for film in that space. It was my first audience, my first big screen, and a place where I could walk in and feel like I had another home.

Thank you for everything.

NOW IN POST PRODUCTION
Dos Golpes

We officially picture-locked! Having several meetings about sound and color this upcoming week, so I’m excited for that. I’ll keep you guys posted. A LOT more news coming super soon!

MOVIE SUGGESTION
Just go to the movies. Go.

Watch this on the biggest screen possible. For my New Englanders, go to the IMAX in Reading.

My New England family, Coolidge Corner is showing this in 70mm!! JUST GO. If you haven’t seen it please go and do so. Also love this video.

Go and catch this movie in theaters, para mi gente Dominicano!!! Heater! Again, shout out Jhonell for putting me on. Tell him thank you, and then bring your whole family.

Just go to the movies man. Whether it’s with your friends, family, crush, girlfriend, or by yourself. Take yourself out, treat yourself, and go see a movie that catches your eye. It’s nice out, do the matinee and beach combo, or beach then movie. Do it tf up and have a good time.
